Energy Saver Rebate Program Now Available!

More Savings for Replacing your Windows and other Energy Saving Projects!

The Minnesota Housing Finance Agency has finally launched their new REBATE program through the Fix-Up Fund on December 7th 2009.   The state has set aside $4 million dollars in rebate funds, and is now available to homeowners on a first come, first serve basis.  These funds are funded by the Federal Stimulus Money to help Minnesota homeowners Save Energy and Dollars with their homes.  This program will give homeowners a 35% Rebate for taking out a Fix-Up loan. 

I have attached a copy of the requirements for this program.  The funds are available for replacement products only and will only be granted to persons taking out the new Fix-Up loan.   To find a lender in Mn that is working with this program you can find a list at www.mnhousing.gov

If you are interested in this program.  Please take some time to view the requirements and the process on the attachment of visit www.mnhousing.gov   Read through them carefully as there are more requirements, but below I listed a few of the main requirements.

-Home must be owner occupied

-Decent Credit History

-Household maximum income of $96,500.00

-Single Family and Townhomes Qualify

-You can still use the $1500.00 Tax Credit available on top of this new rebate.   

-This rebate cannot be used with the Project ReEnergize Rebate.
